Infanrix-IPV-HIB Vaccine

Infanrix-IPV-Hib is an acellular combination vaccine that can effectively prevent five diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenzae type b. Diphtheria, whooping cough and Haemophilus influenzae type b are transmitted through direct contact with droplets or discharge from respiratory tracts of infected persons; while tetanus gets into the body through a break in the skin; poliomyelitis is transmitted through fecal-oral route. Since the five diseases can be fatal, so it is recommended that all infants should be vaccinated for effective personal protection. Infanrix-IPV-Hib can reduce the number of injections as well as the side effects. After injection, some reactions such as pain, redness or swelling at injection site, mild fever and fatigue may occur, but these discomfort symptoms will not persist for long.
